Proxies are allowed, with no limit.

IF YOU ARE WEARING A HOLLOWEEN COSTUME, OR ARE DRESSED WITH SUBSTANTIAL HALLOWEEN SPIRIT, YOU GET A VOUCHER FOR 1 FREE MULLIGAN EACH ROUND!

You must choose a 
MONSTER VANGUARD CHARACTER 
and follow these rules:

- Before the game begins, your Vanguard Character begins face up on the table.

- Your Vanguard Character is YOU, not a separate permanent. 
It cannot be removed or targeted.

- The number in the lower LEFT corner is your starting / maximum hand size modifier. If it says (+1), then you start with 8 cards in hand, and mulligan first down to 7, then 6, etc. (If it says (-1), you start with 6 cards and mulligan accordingly.)

- The number in the lower RIGHT corner is your starting life total modifier, for example, a modifier of (-4) means you will start the game at 16 life.

SYLEX SLAM REPORT: DECK PHOTOS AND MORE!

The SYLEX SLAM is over! A champion has been crowned, and the event was a success! A bittersweet weekend for me, but the event went as well as I could have hoped for! 30 Players came to sling spells and fought valiantly, but there could only be one champion: Ty Thomason!   He has been a staple player for New Jersey OS events, and I can not think of a more deserving winner. A skilled player, an excellent deck builder, and a true lover of the format. Ty is a well of  MTG knowledge, insight, and strategy. As well as an important member of  the Old School community at large.   He is also a fantastic writer!
